Hansik & luxury
Korean Air is the national airline of the Republic of South Korea.
The philosophy of Korean life, food, kindness and attention to the customer, are also evident during a flight on Korean Air.
Recently the company introduced the aircraft A 380, with comforts incredibly innovative in both concept and design. This is already evident for the passengers of economy class, to reach luxury levels for Prestige Class.
The plane has two floors: upstairs there is the Prestige Class, with a dedicated lounge bar and the Celestial Bar; on the main floor are the First Class with dedicated bar and Economy Class. There is also a Duty Free Showcase.
In keeping with the themes of EXPO2015, the Korea Pavilion offers visitors the traditional Hansik of fermented food, on which the Korean cuisine is based.
Air Korea is a technologically modern company, but tradition-bound gatronomically Korean. For this board, as well as international cuisine and dedicated, they serve meals Hansik.

Beef and chicken dishes in First Class on routes out of Seoul are sourced from our own ranch on Jeju Island.Mineral water on all flights is bottled at Korean Air’s own spring on the slopes of Jeju’s Mt. Halla.
Korean Air began serving a traditional Korean ‘Table d’ hôte, served as a separate appetizer, salad, main dish and dessert, for its first class passengers.
The airline spent a year developing the Korean ‘table d’hôte’ with numerous trials and food tastings. Korean Air’s new Korean ‘table d’hôte’ inflight meal marks a new initiation in onboard cuisine.Korean Air offers its customers the chance to experience the tastes and textures and also enjoy the nutritional benefits of our Korean ‘table d’hôte’ in flight menu.
The dishes have been slightly modified so that people of all nationalities can enjoy Korea’s traditional foods.
Inflight Snack: Pecan pie, pizza, hot bun, Samgak Gimbap (triangleshaped rice wrapped with seaweed), brownie cake, shrimp cracker.
Delectable and healthy meals are served on Wedgwood China with elegant place settings that aresynonymous with the quiet beauty of Korea.
The tablewares are designed by Korea’s top pottery master Kwangjuyo and manufactured by Wedgewood. Korean Air has made First Class dishware bearing the insignia of white forsythias, an indigenous plant that has been designated as a piece of natural heritage.
The chinaware in the Prestige class is adorned with peaceful images of willow trees. Korean Air introduced Riedel fine glassware to its first class cabins for a more sophisticated service.
