Boca do Lobo
luxury design 2016
Boca do Lobo’s emotional pieces are handmade in Portugal by talented artisans who use their wisdom from years of experience to combine traditional manufacturing techniques with the latest technological methods to shape the finest materials into furniture which gives rise to timeless luxurious cosmopolitan environments.
At Salone del Mobile, Milano 2016, Boca do Lobo presented some entirely new design pieces, inspired by places and emotions that marked the design team:
Empire Dinig Table
Great Empire’s take centuries to build and those who rise after taking a fall find their true strength. The Empire dining table symbolizes generations of gatherings and decisions, both in times of celebration or tension. Its cracks reflect tough times, revealing a gold interior in a manifesto towards power.
Robin Mirror
From the legend born in the depths of sherwood forest, Robin mirror embodies the strength and character of noble ages, giving them a modern approach.
The fish-eye mirror is supported by a brass structure that turns Robin into one of the most emblematic pieces of the entire collection.
Soho Collection
it is the very beginning. Always at the forefront of reinterpretation and upscale design, yet home to extraordinary architectural styles, NYC's Soho takes center stage in this collection. Inspired by the cosmopolitan edge of the neighborhood with a reinterpretation of forms and materials BL's SOHO collection boasts a balance of architectural design and classic appeal. Exquisite woods, traditional techniques, and timeless motifs are applied to our designs creating charismatic pieces that seduce and tempt.
Private Collection
Keep Safe Your Deepest Secrets: treasures are exactly what we want them to be.
They may come in several forms, materializing our most exclusive and extravagant wishes and sins.
This is when hyper luxury gains form through beautiful collectible articles.
Boca do Lobo is aware of that feeling and wants to be part of it, presenting you an exclusive and very special collection, carefully conceived for keeping your treasures safe.
That’s how Private Collection emerged - as a unique sense of belonging experienced for those who possess fascinating secrets and a peculiar desire to preserve them.
Designed for the most demanding clients, Private Collection includes a luxurious variety of chests, limited edition boxes, stunning safes and watch winders.
Millionaire
Influenced by the California Gold Rush and the “Forty-niner’s”, the Millionaire Safe is Boca do Lobo’s most iconic safe, designed and built to make an impression and deliver an unmatched experience. It’s dented top highlight the safe’s impenetrable nature, referencing the various unsuccessful vault robbery attempts throughout the Gold Rush.
Its empowering opening handle draws inspiration from Portuguese history, and the era of maritime discoveries, resembling a vessel ship’s wheel.
The Millionaire features a solid polished brass frame, with gold coating. Its opening system works with a secret code combination, and the interior is lined in fabric, with a set of lockable drawers made from solid mahogany. As safe and secure as its owner's secrets, only to be unveiled by time itself.
Black Diamond
Inspired by the beauty and nobleness of the world’s toughest material, the Diamond Safe is one of the most emblematic piece in Boca do Lobo’s collection. With a distinct design, this safe is customizable to fit safe-boxes, watch winders and cigar humidors.
The Diamond Safe is an impenetrable place with an unparalleled personality and feel, capable of leaving anyone awestruck, yet only allowing entry to a select few

Metamorphosis
By definition, metamorphosis indicates an alteration is physical build and structure, commonly associated with insects. As a great novel of the 20th Century, written by a phenomenal thinker for his time, Franz Kafka, Metamorphosis digs deep introspection, unknowingly looking for meaning or something to hang on to.
This is the word which rung in conversation and thought, and has come to symbolize a new line of thought, and design inspiration for Boca do Lobo. Insects can be repulsive and can make you think of how different and unique life is by itself. As a subjective concept, beauty can be found in the strangest things, but is guaranteed a place in what is known as luxury.
On redesigning, and completely transforming one of Boca do Lobo’s classics, the Diamond sideboard, fitted into the Metamorphosis ideal.
Marco Costa, head of design from Boca do Lobo says: “ It all started as a funny game between designers, who could make the same look different? Upon laying out a selection of bugs on the piece, we thought… why not?!”
COOLORS COLLECTION
The power of color. Coolors collection is inspired by the power of color. Colors are used for their aesthetics as well as their ability to influence the human psyche through the stimulation of one’s visual sense.
Colors induce many emotions and states of mind, thus by associating color sensations with our collection, we intend to stimulate emotions that allow all who come in contact with our designs the chance to identify with them and bring some color in to their world.
Boca do Lobo is a symbol of exception, of perfection. With the support of twenty-five talented artisans from the North of Portugal, the craftsmen have always drawn inspiration from its roots, its craftsmanship and its heritage to transmute tradition into creation.
Coolors collection transmits Boca do Lobo’s unique skill through technical innovations and stylistic, daring and exceptional partnerships with elite artisans (glasscutter, engravers, goldsmith) to transcend its excellence, becoming a major international luxury label.
